KP Studios undertook the project for www.blackburnnowandthen.co.uk as a website to compare historical images of Blackburn from the last century on a social networking level, each page is displayed with user contributed images, where they can add comments, share memories and post articles to other social networking sites such as Facebook.
The website has had huge success featuring in the Lancashire Evening Telegraph and on BBC’s Radio Lancashire John Gillmore show, and within the first 2 weeks of launch received over 50000 visitors, and to date has had in excess of a million page views.
With the massive success of the Blackburn now and then website (now over 1 MILLION hits) KP Studios where asked to give a little update to the website to make it more Iphone friendly, We created a Iphone Application style look and feel, but keeping the FULL functionality of the website to let user have a seamless flow from PC web browser to Mobile browser
The Iphone friendly website give the user the option to choose the application style look and feel or switch back to the standard website.
